NEWS
WELCOME MESSAGE

In the past 10 years, deepwater oil and gas projects have become the core area of global oil and gas reserves and production, and about 70% of the newly discovered large-scale oil and gas fields come from deepwater, which has become an important successor area for global oil and gas resources. Deepwater oil and gas development is characterized by high difficulty, high risk, high investment and high return. At present, the global deepwater oil and gas development has encountered many technical problems while going deeper, which has attracted extensive attention from industry scholars and has gradually become a research hotspot. In order to promote the exchange and cooperation of scholars at home and abroad, and promote the technological progress in the field of deepwater oil and gas and hydrate development in China, China University of Petroleum (East China), Sun Yat-sen University, China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association, China Renewable Energy Society Gas Hydrate Professional Committee and National Engineering Research Center for Oil and Gas Drilling and Completion Technology will organize the 6th International Deepwater Oil and Gas Engineering Frontier Technology Symposium and the 5th International Hydrate Youth Forum in Zhuhai in November 2025. Leaders, experts and scholars from relevant enterprises, scientific research and teaching units engaged in the development of deepwater oil, gas and hydrate are welcome to actively submit papers and participate in the meeting.
